I had the opportunity to design this character based on the winner’s entry for the 2019 character design contest.
With the original made with perler beads, I, with my boss functioning as the art director, worked on the design of Neon. After many thumbnails and drafts later, we were ready to let the winner know she had won and show her our take on the character she created. I hope she was just as excited as we were!
Moments like this is why I do design.
